Injectable Fillers or Face Lift?

Filling Out the Folds
When it comes to the face, people typically become dismayed when the nasolabial folds—the lines that extend from the nose to the mouth—appear to look deeper. In reality, these folds don’t deepen as people get older. What actually happens is that the fat of the cheek drops down and makes the sides of the folds higher. Injectable fillers can be very helpful in making the folds appear less obvious. However, if they’re used too much, they can render a very unnatural look. Additionally, they really don’t take care of the initial problem involving the descending cheek fat and skin. Face-lifting may be the answer to counteract the effects of gravity in the cheeks as well as the jaw line and neck.
